The vessel
A cabinet that opens into a workbench

About ANJI
Return herbal craft to the people's hands
Inspired by the herbal traditions of the past, ANJI was created to bring the quiet art of the apothecary back into modern life. We carefully source herbs, oils, waxes and botanical ingredients and bring them together in thoughtfully designed Ateliers that invite you to slow down, learn, create and make something useful with your own hands.
Our philosophy is simple: return the much loved herbal craft, back into the people's hands.
Rather than simply offering another finished product, we want you to understand what goes into it, experience the process of making it, and rediscover the satisfaction that comes from creating something yourself.

Each box is the same cabinet with a different formula, a different botanical printed on the drawers and its own set of oils, herbs and butters.
Everything below describes what each botanical has traditionally been used for. Nothing ANJI sells is a medicine, and none of it is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.

The ritual
Melt, fold, set
I
Weigh the dry
Shea butter, beeswax pellets and the dried herb from the small drawer, on the digital scale you already own.
II
Infuse over water
Small pot inside the larger one. Grapeseed oil and herb, held low and slow until the colour turns.
III
Pour and label
Off the heat, essential oils and vitamin E by pipette. Into the four screw top containers, then write the date.

Before you open a box
What is inside an ANJI Atelier Box?
Every box holds a carrier oil, a dried herb, shea butter, beeswax, vitamin E oil and three essential oils, along with four screw top containers, four labels, four pipettes, a wooden spoon and a cloth. The inner cover carries ANJI’s invitation to return to herbal craft.
Do I need anything that is not in the box?
Three kitchen items only: a digital scale, a small pot and a larger pot. Nothing else.
How is the box organised?
The cabinet has two smaller drawers, one tall drawer and an open centre compartment for the ingredients and making tools.
Do I need any experience to use it?
No. The box is built for a first attempt. Every quantity is pre measured by weight and the three steps are melt, fold and set.
How long does a finished salve keep?
Shelf life depends on the formula, handling and storage. Follow the instructions supplied with your box and write the preparation date on the labels.
Where does ANJI ship?
Shipping destinations and delivery details will be confirmed when online ordering opens. This preview does not accept orders.
Are the ingredients natural?
Yes. ANJI sources herbs, oils, waxes and botanical ingredients and supplies them unblended, so you can see exactly what goes into what you make.
Can I buy the ingredients on their own?
Not yet. The Atelier Box is the first release. Refills and single ingredients are planned.
